He's heard - yea, he's heard of people coming here from different times. So, when he meets Sif here he's happy, but just in case he doesn't kiss her when he shouldn't or something, he asks what's the last thing she remembers. Her answer gives him a good idea, but then, she tells him more. She didn't come to Nexus alone.
"Well, I can see you came with a pegasus. Good, at least you don't have to walk everywhere here on foot, Sif. Oh, speaking of alone, Loki decided he's bored of Nexus, so I'm glad to see you here."
